The simplicity of stairs often makes them interesting architectural elements. Rather than the pretty straightforward modelling and rendering of the scene, the challenge here was to add something of the magic of computer animation and give it an ordinary, well-known, and at the same time a surreal and compelling look. To me, it feels like an insight into a really small world.
